Visit the world’s first and only mariachi museum, the Museo Silvestre Vargas. The museum houses artifacts related to Silvestre Vargas and his mariachi like Rafael Palomar who spent 25 years with the famous Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan. You will get up close and personal from the best seats in the house at the next Fiesta Del Mariachi in the city of Guadalajara, State of Jalisco, Mexico.

Author of “The Guitar in The Mariachi”, Rafael Palomar also performed with many famous artists such as Linda Rondstat (guitar and vocals) on “Mas Canciones” and guitar on “Canciones de Mi Padre”

Rafael Palomar currently lives and teaches mariachi in Albuquerque, New Mexico and performs worldwide.

From October 3rd to November 30th throughout Westchester County, a wide range of activities related to ceramics and clay arts, will take place at a number of venues
Led by the Westchester Arts Council, the Clay Arts center and a committee of eight cultural organizations, it will encompass museums, multi-art centers, libraries and galleries and will explore the depth of ceramic expression. You will be able to see folk arts to fine arts, historical to contemporary works and participate in panel discussions, workshops and classes.

The “Day of Jalisco” is October 25, 2008. Don’t miss it as it is a special opportunity for you to become familiar with the clay art from this part of Mexico. TravelISArt is taking you there in person on their unique tour, creating an opportunity to deepen your appreciation of ceramic arts.
